the jurisdiction of the lord over his man taken as a thief outside the lord's domain, the right of the lord to pursue his man, when accused of theft, outside his own jurisdiction, bring him back to his own court for trial, and keep his forfeited chattels on conviction :-- Habeant socam et sacam . . . infangeneþeóf and útfangeneþeóf, C.
