n. The bone-house, the chest, body; ossea domus, pectus, corpus :-- He ðæt bánhús gebrocen hæfde he had broken the bone-house, the breast, or body, Beo. Th. 6285; B. 3147. Hence bánhúses weard the body's guard, the mind, Cd. 169; Th. 211, 9; Exod. 523. ban-hus
