m. A medicine, properly an antidote for poison, cf. tiriaca drenc wyð áttre, Wrt. Voc. i. 20, 20:--Tyriaca is gód drenc wiþ eallum innoðtýdernessum, and se man se ðe hine swá begǽþ swá hit hér on segþ, ðonne mæg hé him miclum gehelpan . . .
