A charge brought against a person, accusation:-- Á biþ andsæc swíðere ðonne onsagu, i.e.in a case where a charge is brought against a person, and it is met with a denial attested by the proper legal formalities, the case against him fails, L. Eth. ii. 9; Th. i. 290, 17. [Cf. the somewhat similar principle which follows:-- Ágnung biþ nér ðam ðe hæfþ ðonne ðam ðe æfter sprecþ. See also Grmm. R.
