a name given to a plant in Lchdm. iii. 32, 19 :--Stíme hǽtte ðeós wyrt, heó on stáne geweóx. Cockayne says water-cress, in the note to the passage, but nettle in his glossary. Perhaps the alternative reading stune is the better, as it is said of the plant : stunaþ heó wærce . . . wið-stunaþ heó áttre. stime
