p. ode; pp. od To flash, flicker; fulgēre :-- Swilce se beám ongeán weardes wið ðæs steorran ward fyrcliende wǽre as if the beam were flashing towards the star from an opposite direction, Chr. 1106; Erl. 240, 34.
