adj. Foul, filthy, dirty :-- Hine ðá lǽddon on ðone sweartan fenn and hine ðá on ða horwehtan wæter bewurpon they led him then to the black fen and flung him into the foul water, Guthl. 5; Gdwin. 36, 9.
