- adj. Noble, courtly, befitting one who belongs to a king's body-guard [cf. Icel. inn-drótt a king's body-guard] :-- Ðæt bþ in eorle indryhten þeáw ðæt hé his ferþlocan fæste binde it is a noble habit in a man, to bind fast his mind's casket, Exon. 76 b; Th. 287, 11; Wand. 12.
