of-healdan
to withhold, keep back, retain :-- Hé lét niman of hyre ealle ða betstan gærsuma ðe heó ofhealdan ne mihte he had all the best valuables, that she could not keep back, taken from her. Chr. 1035 ; Erl. 164, 23. Mí gauil hé hauiþ ofhealden my rent he has withheld. Chart. Th. 427, 30. [Ayenb, to ofhealde to retain.]
