m. [céne, réd counsel] Cenred, son of Ceolwald and father of Ine, king of Wessex :-- Cénréd wæs Ceolwalding Cenred was the son of Ceolwald, Chr. Th. 2, 2. Ingeld wæs Ínes bróðor, and hí, begen bróðra, wǽron [MS. wareon] Cénrédes suna: Cénréd wæs Ceoldwalding Ingeld was Ine's brother, and they, both brothers, were Cenred's sons: Cenred was son of Ceolwald, Text. Rof. 61, 12-18.
