[cumb II. a liquid measure] A milk-pail;mulctrāle, mulctrum :-- Gif meoluc síe awyrd, bind tosomne wegbrǽdan and giþrifan and cersan, lege on ðone fildcumb, and ne sete ðæt fæt niðer on eorþan seofon nihtum if milk be spoilt, bind together waybroad and cockle and cress, lay them on the milk-pail, and set not the vessel down on the earth far seven nights, L.
