p. ode; pp. od. I. erŭbescĕre :-- Sýn gecyrred underbæc and gescamian, ða ðe wyllaþ me yfelu avertantur retrorsum et erŭbescant, qui vŏlunt mihi măla, Ps. Spl. 69, 3. II. or bring shame to; pŭdēre :-- Sceal gescamian ða unrihtwísan it shall shame the wicked; erŭbescant impii, Ps. Th. 30, 20. Gescamige hí, let it shame them; erŭbescant, Ps. Spl. 82, 16.
