p. ede; pp. ed. I. to plot, contrive, conspire, deliberate :-- Se se ðe ða synne gesireþ he who designs the sin, Past. 56, 6; Swt. 435, 6; Hat. MS. Ðonne ne gesirede hit nó ðæt hit þurhtuge swelce synne then would it not have designed to carry out such sin, Swt. 435, 4. Ic gesyrede I plotted, Exon. 72 b; Th. 270, 20; Jul. 468.
