Th. i. 196, 29-32. Ꝥ hé on þá wísan hire geornige ꝥ hé hý healdan wille swá wær his wíf sceal, 254, 6. (2) to beg:--Hé gesaet æt woeg giornade sedebat juxta uiam mendicans, Mk. L. 10, 46. (3) to entreat earnestly:--Cwóm tó him lícðrower giornede hine uenit ad eum leprosus depraecans eum, Mk. L. 1, 40.
