m. A saviour :-- Míne eágan habbaþ gesewen ðínne Hálwendan. Se hálwenda ðe hé embe spræc is úre Hǽlend Crist se ðe com tó gehǽlenne úre wunda ðæt sindon úre synna mine eyes have seen thy Saviour [viderunt oculi mei salutare tuum]. The Saviour that he spoke about is Jesus Christ who came to heal our wounds, that is, our sins, Homl. Th. i. 142, 32: 136, 21. [Cf. Hǽlend.] hal-wenda,halwenda
