m. A weald-goer (bandit, brigant:--Hé wolde beón yldest on ðam yfelan flocce, and geworhte his geféran tó wealdgengum ealle on wídgillum dúnum . . . 'Hé is geworden tó weald-gengan and ðæra sceaðena ealdor, ðe hé him sylf gegaderode, and wunaþ on ánre dúne mid manegum sceaðum.'. . . Ðá ætstód se wealdgenga . . . and áwearp his wǽmna, Ælfc. T.
