adj. I. fair, handsome, comely: -- Stranglíc on wæstme and wénlíc on nebbe, Ælfc. T. Grn. 16, 41. Heó wæs swíðe wlitig and wénlíces híwes erat eleganti aspectu nimis, Homl. Ass. 108, 205.
