A veil of error :-- Hié wǽron stǽnenre heortan and blindre, ðæt hié ðæt ongeotan ne cúðan, ðæt hié ðǽr gehýrdon, ne ðæt oncnáwan ne mihton, ðæt hié ðǽr gesáwon; ac God áfyrde him ðæt unrihtwrigels (cf. ðone unrihtan wrigels, Wulfst. 252, 4) of heora heortan (cf.
