p. -cwanc, pl. -cwuncon; pp. -cwuncen To vanish, become extinguished, quenched; extingui, evanescere :-- Se móna acwanc the moon was extinguished, i.e. eclipsed. Chr. 1110; Ing. 331, 30. a-cwincan
