a-rǽman
p. de; pp. ed. I. excitare, erigere, elevare :-- Ða ge mihton rǽdan, and eów arǽman on ðám which ye may read, and elevate yourselves in them, Ælfc. T. 31, 15. II. v. intrans. To raise or lift up one's self, to arise; se erigere, se elevare, surgere :-- Dæges þriddan ord arǽmde the beginning of the third day arose, Cd. 139; Th. 174, 10; Gen. 2876: 162; Th. 203, 29; Exod. 411.
