án-gilde
adj. To be compensated for, for which ángilde (q.is to be paid :-- Búton hiora hwæðer ǽr þingode ꝥ hé hit ángylde healdan ne þorfte unless either of them previously made the condition that he was not to be liable to make compensation for damage done to the material entrusted to him, Ll. Th. i. 74, 12. an-gilde
