adj. Bold in speech, saucy:--Se biscop him andwyrde: 'Ðú earming, . . .' Se cwellere mid gebolgenum móde cwaeð: 'Gif ðes bealdwyrda biscop (this saticy priest) ácweald ne bið, siððan ne bið úre ege ondrǽdendlic,' Hml. Th. i. 420, 2. beald-wyrde
