- Add:, blíþ-mód. I. of gladsome mind :-- Þú blíðmód bidde, ꝥ hí (the saints) þé þingian tó þeódne, Dóm. L. 36, 23. II. of kindly mind, kindly disposed :-- Hí cwǽdon ꝥ hí ealle him swíðe blíðemóde wǽron . . . Hé cwæð, 'Ic eom swíðe blíðemód (blíðmód, blíðemóde, ) tó eów' respondebant omnes placidissimam se mentem ad ilium habere . . .
