f. Breach, breaking, destruction :-- His sunu cwæþ ꝥ hé nolde geþafian ꝥ man swá deórwurðne cræft ( an astronomical instrument) tó-cwysan sceolde, bútan man þá hálgan wurpe on háte ofnas, gif his fæder nǽre hǽled æfter þǽre brǽce, Hml. S. 5, 292.
