Add: I. ease, freedom from trouble, suffering, &c.:--Eorla gehwám eádnys and tóhyht, Rún. 4. II. ease, freedom from difficulty:--Éðnise facultatem, Lk. p, 9, 6. III. gentleness:--Ongan hé wurðigan þá gódan þeáwas þára gódra on þám lífe, eádnysse and hýrsumnysse, geþyld and þolemódnysse, Guth. 18, 16.
