- a going. Substitute: fæt a going. and cf. Icel. feta to step: fæt fat. l. fǽt, and see fǽtt: fæt ornament. l. fǽt. For "fætum, befeallen . . . with ornaments, shall be fallen off" substitute fætum befeallen . . . shall be stripped of ornaments ; and see next word. fæt
