The plant mullein; verbascum thapsus, Lin :-- Ðeós wyrt, ðe man verbascum, and óðrum naman feltwyrt nemneþ, biþ cenned on sandigum stówum and on myxenum this plant, which is named verbascum, and by another name mullein, is produced in sandy places and on dunghills, Herb. 73, 1; Lchdm. i. 174, 19-21.
