indecl. n. A white speck, disease of the eye; albūgo :-- Ðæs eágan wǽron mid fleó and mid dimnesse twelf mónþ ofergán whose eyes had been for a twelvemonth overspread with the white speck and with dimness, Guthl. 22; Gdwin. 96, 14.
