adj. Forgiving, pardonable, tolerable; remissus :-- Tyro and Sydone byþ forgyfendlícre [MS. forgyfendlícur] on dómes dæg, ðonne eów it shall be more pardonable for Tyre and Sidon in the day of judgment, than for you; Tyro et Sidoni remissius ĕrit in die jūdĭcii quam vōbis, Mt. Bos. 11. 22. Sodomwara lande byþ forgyfenlícreon dómes dæg, ðonne ðé terræ Sŏdŏmōrum remissius ĕrit in die jūdĭcii, quam tĭbi, Mt. Bos. 11. 24: Lk. Bos. 10, 14.
