To despise, reject; despicĕre, contemnĕre, spernĕre :-- Ðe forhycgeaþ God who despise God, Ps. Th. 52, 6. Ðæt ic ne forhycge I reject it not, Exon. 63 b; Th. 235, 4; Ph. 552. for-hycgan
