According to the Old English Dictionary:

fór-strang

adj. Very strong; prævălĭdus :-- Fórstrangne oft wíf hine wríþ [though] very strong, a woman often binds him, Exon. 113 a; Th. 434, 2; Rä. 51, 4. for-strang
