pl. -witon; p. -wiste, pl. -wiston; pp. -witen To foreknow; præscīre :-- He eall fórewát hú hit geweorþan sceal he foreknows all how it shall come to pass, Bt. 39, 5; Fox 218, 27. fore-witan
