According to the Old English Dictionary:
- forþ-heald
- Add: (1) bent forwards, inclined from the perpendicular; fig. prone to :-- Andgit and geþóht menniscre heortan syndon forðhealde tó yfele (in malum prona), Gen. 8, 21. (2) sloping, inclined to the horizontal :-- Se weg is rúm and forðheald þe tó deáðe and tó hellewíte lǽt, R. Ben. 5, 20. forþ-heald
