adj. Sudden:--Wundrodon ealle men ꝥ on swá lytlan fæce hine nán man findan mihte . . . and se cásere and his þegnas wǽron sárie for his fǽredlican (cf. fǽrlican, 225) áweggewitennysse all men wondered that all of a sudden nobody could find him . . . and the emperor and his thanes were sorry for his sudden departure, Hml.
