adj. Known, manifest, confessed; professus :-- Ic eom geanwyrde monuc professus sum monachus, Coll. Monast. Th. 18, 23. He ðæs geanwyrde wæs ætfóran eallum ðám mannum he confessed it before all the men, Chr. 1055; Erl. 189, 5.
