ge-dæftan
p. -dæfte; pp. dæft To put in order, make ready, prepare :-- Ða ðe mid ðám [treowum] Cristes weig gedæfton those who with the [trees] prepared Christ's way, Homl. Th. i. 212, 34. He eów betǽcþ mycele healle gedæfte ipse vobis ostendet cenaculum magnum stratum, Lk. Bos. 22, 12 : Mk. Bos. 14, 15.
