ge-hǽled
Substitute: safe, salutary:--Hí þóhtan ꝥ him wíslicra and gehǽledra wǽre ꝥ hí hám cirdon, ðonne hí þá elreordian þeóde geférdan . . .; and þis gemǽnelíce him tó rǽde curon redire domum potius quam barbaram gentem adire cogitabunt, et hoc esse tutius communi consilio decernebant, Bd. 1, 23; Sch. 49, 4.
