According to the Old English Dictionary:

ge-hnǣcan

Add :-- Þeós wyrt ealde wunda gehǣleþ and eác hyre dūst wexende flǣsc wel gehnǣceþ, Lch. i. 292, 19. (In one MS. the vowel of each verb has an accent.) Gehnǣcþ (UNCERTAIN ? -hnǣgþ.
