p. od To engraft; fig. to introduce into, mingle in:--Ðonne hwelc æfter hálgum háde hine selfne fæstlíce geimpað on eorðlicum weorcum cum quilibet post sanctitatis habitum terrenis se actibus inserit, Past. 133, 25. Lóca nú hú se hálega wer sé ðe suá fæsðlíce geimpod wæs tó ðǽm hefenlicum diógolnessum ecce jam coelestibus secretis inseritur, 99, 18.
