Greed, importunate desire :-- Ðú wást ꝥ mé nǽfre seó gítsung and seó gemǽgþ ðisses eorðlican anwealdes for wel ne lícode, ne ic ealles for swíþe ne girnde þisses eorþlican ríces scis ipsa minimum nobis ambitionem mortalium rerum fuisse dominatam, Bt. 17; F. 58, 23.
