p. de; pp. ed To madden, make foolish :-- Swá gemǽdde m-ode bestolene dǽde gedwolene so foolish bereft of mind erring in deed, Exon. 103 b; Th. 393, 6; Rä. 12, 6. Gemǽded vecors, Lye. [Cf. Laym. Of witten heo weoren amadde (later MS. awed).]
