ge-rǽde
adj. Ready, swift, prompt, easy, plain, simple; paratus, celer, promptus, expeditus, planus, simplex :-- He gedyde míne fét swá gerǽde swá swá heorotum qui perfecit pedes meos [celeres] tanquam cervi, Ps. Th. 17, 32. Ge meterfers, ge gerǽdre sprǽce et versibus heroicis, et simplici oratione, Bd. 4, 28; S. 605, 13: 5, 18; S. 636, 6; Bd. 5, 24; S. 648, 27. [Icel. greiðr ready, free: cf. North.
