p. de; pp. ed To compose, settle, make peace with, reconcile, satisfy; compōnĕre, concĭliāre, reconcĭliāre, satisfăcĕre :-- Ðæt he hý geséman wolde that he would make peace with them, Ors. 3, 7; Bos. 60, 33.
