Dele the passage, and add :-- Genim gréne rúdan leáf, scearfa smale and cnuca swíðe, and beren meala gesift dó þǽrtó, Lch. iii. 8, 15. Þæt folc nam gesyft melu (conspersam farinam), Ex. 12, 34. ge-siftan
