ge-sígan
p. -sáh, pl. -sigon; pp. -sigen [sígan to sink] To sink, fall, set as the sun; cadere, labi, occĭdĕre ut sol :-- Ǽr heó [sunne] fullíce gesígan onginne before it [the sun] begin fully to sink, Herb. 19, 5; Lchdm. i. 112, 21. Ðæt he ána scyle gesígan æt sæcce that he alone should sink in conflict, Beo. Th. 5311; B. 2659. Ðonne me ylde tíd on gesíge in tempore senectutis, Ps. Th. 70, 8.
