- an obstacle. Substitute: ge-stál, es; n. I. a charge, an accusation :-- In þám dæge (doomsday) ús byð æteówed . . . se réða wealdend and se rihta dóm, úre fyrena edwit and þǽra feónda gestál, Wlfst. 186, 17.
