According to the Old English Dictionary:

ge-þeón

to receive, take, get :-- Sceal wíf geþeón lof mid hyre leódum, leóhtmód wesan, rúne healdan, rúmheort beón a lady must have the praise of her people, must be cheery, keep counsel, be liberal, Gn.
