p. ode, ade; pp. od, ad To appoint, determine, assign; stătuĕre, decernĕre, assignāre :-- Swá he æt fruman getihhod hæfde as he at the beginning had determined, Bt. 39, 3; Fox 220, 26. Hafast ðé ánum eall getihhad land and leóde thou hast brought all the land and people on thyself, Andr. Kmbl. 2642; An. 1322.
