A covenant, treaty, pledge, faith, fidelity; fœdus, pignus :-- Ofer ealle ða getrýwþa ðe he him geseald hæfde against all the pledges which he had given him, Chr. 1001; Erl. 136, 15: 1093; Erl. 229, 19. Lytle getrýwþa wǽron mid mannum there has been little faith amongst men, Swt. A. S. Rdr. 104, 8: 107, 74; 111, 220.
