m. An equal, a mate, fellow :-- Ða sylfan his heáfodgemacan hé forlét his very fellows he forsook, Guthl. 2; Gdwin. 16, 16. Ic mæg sleán míne heáfodgemæccan [heáfudgemæccean, Cot.
